xHP Flashtool is software that optimizes the ZF 6- and 8-speed automatic in your BMW or MINI. Factory settings often focus on emissions and comfort; xHP delivers faster shift times, better response and more driving pleasure, without spoiling everyday use. We flash and test this professionally in our workshop.

ZF vs DCT vs Aisin — why it matters
- ZF automatics (6HP/8HP)
The gold standard at BMW/MINI. Robust and fast. xHP was developed for this and supports a great many variants (including modern Ms with the 8HP). -
DCT (dual clutch)
Super fast, but not the target platform for xHP. DCT models are not supported by xHP. -
Aisin automatics
Mainly on front-wheel-drive platforms. Reliable, but not supported by xHP.

xHP Stages — which one suits you?
- Stage 1 – Comfort+
Subtle optimizations: smooth at low load, faster when needed. Ideal for everyday use and commuting. -
Stage 2 – Balanced
The popular “sweet spot”: noticeably faster and sharper, without losing comfort. Perfect for those who drive actively. -
Stage 3 – Performance
Maximum sharpness, higher shift points and minimal delay. For sporty drivers, track days or cars with engine tuning.
We advise the best stage on the spot based on your driving style, car and set-up.
And the M models?
Yes, modern Ms with the ZF 8HP are supported (e.g. M3/M4 G8x, M8, X5 M, X6 M, etc.).
Older Ms with DCT are not supported. We always do a VIN check in the current xHP list so you are 100% sure.
